Unit 10 & 21 - Learning Aim C
Date | Description of completed work | Visual |
th December | Editing the film first began by planning and organizing all the footage I had. Start planning exactly what shots I need to start editing. I started by going through all the footage we shot and then carefully selected all the ones that were good enough to use by writing down the clip numbers relevant to each scene on paper. Using this way of organization, I made it easy for myself by having all the necessary clips to download with a clear number on each one and clearly knowing which footage goes into which scene so that there is no mix-up. With this plan, I made my further work easier and cut down on my time. |
th December | Start by downloading a few selected clips that I have previously reviewed and selected for use in the film, which are of the best quality from each scene where they can match each other. After I downloaded them, I started downloading them into Adobe Premiere Pro, where I would edit my entire movie. |

rd January | After editing the layout of all the clips, I started to focus on the sound which is very important in the whole process of effective editing and for a better end result. I found some additional sound effects that are relevant to my movie, this additional sound effect is for better quality of the movie. After choosing the ones that I thought were good, I moved them to the folder where I previously kept the rest of the sound effects that I downloaded to use in the film. |
rd January | I have all my sound effects clips in a separate folder in my ‘Drive’ which is useful for me to find the sound I need more easily and quickly and use it in my editing. I also downloaded all the necessary sound effects to Adobe Premiere Pro where I started editing them at the correct/necessary positions in the clips |
th January | I started looking from the start of the film and started to add relevant sound effects on the part that are need sound effects. The most common sound effect that I have used is ‘suspense’ background to increase the tension and to create my film more professional as a final look. |
th January | I started choosing my "video transitions" for my cutscenes/clips to create a better transition from transitioning from one clip or scene to another for better visual effect and for viewers to follow what's going on as they might understand the essence and stay on track without having any ambiguities. The purpose of my transition effects is to keep track of some scenes that are not on a good continuity path and try to make an effective change of scenes and clips. |
th January | The final editing, I did for this film is adding some text that is needed in the film to make it more whole and to make some of the actions that happen in the film have a point. I did this by using the same trick and placing the text on a black screen. These few texts at certain moments in the film are to create better continuity |
th January | Finishing some final editing to re-submit my work and ready to be uploaded on my YouTube channel. |
